PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Having recently just purchased a bungalow in Layer de la Haye, Mr & Mrs Comiskey needed various internal and external upgrades to their property. This consisted of a new drainage system, a new patio and raised lintel heights for their front door.
PROJECT RESULTS
Once the work for the new drainage system was underway, Chris discovered that the foundations were filling with water. After discovering where the leak was coming from, Chris then dug a trench and diverted the water via a French drain (pipe surrounded by pea shingle) to the end of the garden to a ditch. Once this was complete, the building inspector was able to pass the foundations as being suitable for concreting.
The patio was successfully laid, along with fresh new turf. The lintel heights for the front door were raised without a problem and Chris even moved the location of a telephone line to a position more suitable for the residents.
